Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is a common issue. Everyone goes through it at some point. Though the reasons may vary from one person to another, it all comes down to your oral hygiene at the end of the day.

Bacteria, when combined with a dry mouth, can become your biggest nightmare. Henceforth, one way you can effectively fix the issue is by keeping yourself hydrated.
Remember that bacteria won’t be as dangerous in a moist mouth as in a dry one. Thereby, you MUST ensure to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day, especially after having anything like an onion or a piece of ginger.
Apart from that, when having anything spicy or acidic, I’ll recommend you to drink twice the water you usually do. Water will cut down the acidic effects of the food while neutralizing the PH level of the mouth and eliminating the unpleasant odor.
Don’t Forget to Buy a Mouthwash

Switch to Fresh Produce
This one may surprise you a bit, but eating junk or too much acidic food is not going to do you any favour. That is why I’d say you switch to fresh produce and add more greens to your diet.
Again, it will help you keep the PH level in your mouth neutral that helps keep your breath fresh.
For example, if you’re having a meal with onions, try and eat some mint leaves afterward. According to research, mint has a particular chemical makeup that can aid in deodorizing the foul odor of garlic and onion breath.
