There are a number of things that we talk about on social media every day, from the bikini bridge to the thigh gap. A lot of people actually like to have them, while some loathe the idea of it.
Similarly, we have hip dips. Hip dips may seem funny. Okay, it’s a dip that is formed right at your hip where your thigh starts, got that?
You can also call it a hip dent or merely a curve, which is approved by several people as they believe it promotes self-confidence. However, a number of people I’ve seen often complain about having hip dips.
I have hip dips too, and unfortunately, I find them pretty annoying. I think they disturb the shape of my thighs. Hmm, it’s a debatable topic, I know.
So if you don’t approve of having hip dips just like me, what can you do about it? Do you have any ideas in mind?
Let me make this situation a little more convenient for you. It’s easy to get rid of hip dips; all you need to do is follow a few smart tips and tricks.
In this article today, I’ll address how you can get rid of hip dips naturally without having to go through any cosmetic procedures. So let’s get started:
A Little Flashback...
Around two months ago, while playing tennis in the backyard with a couple of friends, it came into my attention that I had hip dips.
It is something I never observed on my own, maybe because I’m not very concerned about my body. Yet, it haunted me like anything.
So this is where I started researching how I can get rid of them, and make my thighs petite like they used to be.
After obsessing over it for days and trying every home remedy, there was, I finally found a few practical ways to get rid of them. Hooray! It’s all I wanted at the end of the day.
Ways to Get Rid of Hip Dips
As a matter of fact, you need to be motivated and consistent in order to achieve anything. Getting rid of hip dips isn’t as easy as it may sound; it’s an uneven distribution of fat muscles.
Thereby, it would be best if you made a few lifestyle changes so that you can say goodbye to this unusual issue once and for all. Here I have a few promising suggestions that bring along fruitful results; you have my word.
Try Squats
Performing squats is a great way to tone your abdominal area, especially your thighs. Just be sure to keep your spine straight while exercising, it will provide additional support to your muscles.
Add this exercise to your everyday routine. It won’t take more than 15 minutes of your life, and the results would be quick and magical at the same time.
They say desperate times call for desperate measures. I have Enow Sissy 3-in-1 Squat Machine at home; I think a perfect squat session is not possible without the right equipment.
Go for a Glute Development Diet
Whether you join a gym or exercise at home, it all eventually comes down to your diet. It goes without saying that your diet plays a crucial role in how your body looks; hence, it’s one thing that requires your attention.
Have you ever thought about developing your glute muscles? If you haven’t, you can think about it now. Development of glute muscles would significantly help you get rid of hip dips, and no wonder, they’ll provide your thighs a better shape.
For starters, you can add things like eggs, flax seeds, avocados, protein shakes, and quinoa to your diet. After that, you can gradually switch to the glute-developing workout.

Change Your Sleeping Position
Even though there’s no scientific evidence of the fact that your sleeping position can also be the culprit for the development of hip dips, a lot of people believe it to be true.
Sleeping on your side all night without really switching the position may contribute to the development of hip dips. In fact, mattresses that fail to distribute your weight evenly can also be responsible, but it is something that can be easily managed.
Get yourself a new mattress, preferably a memory foam mattress that conforms well to your body and distributes the weight properly when you’re asleep. I have been using Sweetnight 12-Inch Memory Foam Mattress for around four weeks now, and I bought it for the same reason.
Cut the Alcohol Loose
This one may surprise you, but alcohol actually makes you gain weight and that too, in an uneven manner.
According to numerous studies, alcohol not only contributes to your belly fat but also tricks your body into randomly distributing the fat. Therefore, it won’t be wrong to say that problems like hips dips and love handles can be a result of excessive alcohol consumption.
I reckon that leaving alcohol at once may be complicated, but it isn’t anything impossible. Start by reducing your alcohol intake, and gradually cut it loose. ‘One step at a time’ is the key in such a scenario.
Besides that, make sure to keep yourself hydrated. Not having enough hydration can also be the reason behind uneven fat distribution in the body.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with taking care of your body and wanting to look more attractive. You may not approve of having hip dips, but it’s something natural, and there’s nothing to panic about it. I have hip dips too. I’m now getting back in shape, and so can you.
