One of the most widespread conditions out there is halitosis. Wait, what is halitosis really? It’s an issue where a foul odor is emanated from the mouth, commonly known as bad breath.

It doesn’t matter how prevalent the disorder is; you still cannot deny the fact that it is quite embarrassing to go through such a problem. So what can you possibly do to get rid of bad breath

As a matter of fact, there’s always a reason behind everything that happens in our bodies. What could be the reason behind halitosis? What comes into your mind when you think of it? Poor dental hygiene?

Be that as it may, here I have made a rundown of some practical ways to help you on your way with halitosis.

Create a Hygiene Regime

Let’s get back to the basics first! First and foremost, you need to plan an effective detail hygiene regime.

When talking about oral health issues, it is the first thing that your dentist is going to recommend to you.

Although I personally don’t believe in fancy oral health plans, most of the dentists recommend, there are a few rules that I strictly follow.

So what I’m about to say may surprise you a little, but I’m sorry you’ll have to kick those cigarettes out.

Tar and nicotine are two active compounds in cigarettes, and they are responsible for making your mouth dry as they suck up the moisture as well as oxygen. It is precisely the reason tobacco is especially forbidden when it comes to bad breath issues.

Brush Your Tongue

You may observe a pale or white coating on your tongue when suffering from halitosis. It is something that needs to be treated right away or else; it can become a home to a plethora of pathogens.

You can treat this issue at home by scraping your tongue a little with the help of a toothbrush. If your brush isn’t long enough to comfortably scrap the entire tongue, you can try buying a tongue scraper.
